Town of Leland -- Gateway Enhancement Project

Phase I

 

The Town of Leland has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest growing municipalities in southeastern North Carolina.  Our town's leaders are committed to ensuring that our growing community remains an enjoyable place to live, work, and raise a family.

 

The Town of Leland's Gateway Enhancement Project is a partnership between the town, area businesses, citizens and other community stakeholders.  This effort will enhance our efforts to build and maintain a distinct community that continues to be attractive over the long term.  The project will focus on the Village Road Commercial District and the major interchange of U.S. 17 and U.S. 74/76, and it slated to include a comprehensive landscaping and streetscaping effort with natural vegetative plantings, trees, street lights and sidewalks.

 

The Town of Leland has established a Capital Reserve Fund that enables us to accept investments from citizens, private groups, businesses and civic organizations.  Donations will help with the design, construction and implementation of both the Phase I and Phase II portions of the Gateway Enhancement Project.
