New Town Center Construction

Work is beginning on the new Town Center at the Leland Municipal Complex (102 Town Hall Drive). As a result of the construction, Town Hall Drive will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, June 25. You may still access the park and municipal complex by entering Town Hall Drive via Village Road. In addition, the Gateway Trail around the park will be be temporarily closed during construction hours. A 1/4 mile paved trail is available at Brunswick County's Leland Community Park at 1490 Village Rd. as an alternative. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we build a new Town Center to support our growing town.




Olympic Day this Saturday

The spirit of the Olympic Movement will roll into Leland as Leland Parks and Recreation hosts an Olympic Day celebration on Saturday, June 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Leland Municipal Park, 102 Town Hall Drive. The event will be fun for the whole family and give kids the chance to participate in variations of their favorite Olympic events including track, long jump, soccer, volleyball and more. There will be Olympic-themed prizes and a recorded video message from Olympic and Paralympic athletes from Team USA. Following the event at dusk, the Town will show the inspirational film Soul Surfer on an outdoor movie screen as part of the Movies in the Park series. The Imitations are Coming! The Imitations are Coming!

The area's favorite beach band will kick off our Summer Concerts in the Park series on Thursday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Leland Municipal Park, 102 Town Hall Dr. Grab your lawn chair and picnic basket and come on down to check out this great FREE show. As a friendly reminder, alcohol is not permitted on Town property. If you have never heard The Imitations, you can check them out by clicking here.
