Of the 10,256 IIMC members worldwide, Floyd is one of 527 to achieve the MMC designation.  There are only 34 MMC’s from North Carolina.

“I congratulate Carol Ann for her achievement of this prestigious recognition,” said Leland Town Manager Bill Farris.  “She has faithfully served the Town of Leland for over 10 years, and we appreciate her continuing commitment to excellence.”

In a letter congratulating Floyd on her acceptance, IIMC President Marcella O’Connor said, “(This designation) symbolizes Floyd’s status as a true Municipal Clerk professional.  Her personal commitment and service to the Municipal Clerk’s field is at the heart of true professionalism.”

Carol Ann Floyd is a Leland native and 1986 graduate of North Brunswick High School.  She has been employed with the town for over ten years.   Floyd received an associates’ degree in Business Administration from Cape Fear Community College in 1988.  To earn the Master Municipal Clerk designation, Floyd actively pursued educational and professional activities and remained informed of current events in local government.
