Leland Town Manager David Hewett Receives
“Good Guy Award” from Hope Harbor Home

LELAND – Hope Harbor Home, Inc. recently presented Leland Town Manager David Hewett with its 2005 “Good Guy” Award. Hope Harbor assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
In a letter notifying Hewett of his selection, Hope Harbor Community Resource Director Lynn Carlson said, “We are excited to have the opportunity to honor you for the many contributions you have made to Brunswick County victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.”
“David and our entire town staff consistently go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that Leland continues to be a great place to live, work and raise a family,” said Mayor Franky Thomas. “We are glad that the good people at Hope Harbor saw fit to recognize David’s commitment to go the extra mile for our citizens."
