Town of Leland Hosts Fifth Annual

Founders’ Day Celebration on September 9

WWQQ’s “Stunt Boy” to again serve as Master of Ceremonies

LELAND – The Town of Leland will hold its fifth annual Founders’ Day Celebration on Saturday, September 9.  Disc jockey Brian Joyce, more commonly known as WWQQ’s “Stunt Boy,” will again serve as Master of Ceremonies.  The event, which begins at 10:00 am and will be held on the grounds behind the Leland Town Hall, will include a food, games and performances by a variety of musical groups. 

 

“Our Founders’ Day celebration is an event for the whole family,” says Leland Mayor Walter Futch.  “We invite everyone to pay us a visit, enjoy some southern hospitality and see for themselves why Leland is a great place to live and raise a family.”

 

Other Founders’ Day activities include performances by the North Brunswick High School (NBHS) Band, the NBHS JROTC Drill Team, the Leland Middle School (LMS) Band and the LMS Chorus.
