Irrigation Ban in Effect

LELAND, N.C. -- The Town of Leland requests that all citizens cooperate with the North Brunswick Sanitary District’s recently declared ban on lawn and shrubbery irrigation. The ban, declared at the District Board’s special meeting on May 15, is intended to address the low pressure problems being widely experienced in the District, particularly in the early morning and evening hours.  The ban is in effect between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. 

While the North Brunswick Sanitary District has the authority to impose penalties on those violating the ban under State law, it is expected and hoped that such measures will not be necessary.
