Town of Leland announces
Planning Board vacancies

LELAND, N.C. – The Town of Leland, which is the largest municipality in one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, is seeking applicants to fill multiple vacancies on its Planning Board.  The Planning Board is a seven member board appointed by Town Council to serve two-year terms.  Click here for the planning board's page.

 

The Planning Board’s responsibilities are:

-  Making recommendations and decisions about development in a fair and impartial manner in accordance with state law and the provisions of the Town’s ordinances. As such, Planning Board Members should be acquainted with all applicable laws.

-  Attending Planning Board Meetings, which are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.

-  As necessary, attending additional meetings or participating in various studies relating to growth and development within the town.
