June 17, 2005
LELAND – The Town of Leland is prominently featured in the 2005 Cape Fear Relocation Guide's article on northern Brunswick County.
The ten page section, which provides readers with insight into the many reasons more and more people want to call northern Brunswick County home, describes Leland as the embodiment of the Cape Fear Region's growth and discusses the town's commitment to maintain its small town character during the coming years.
The article features comments from a number of Leland area officials, including Leland Mayor Franky Thomas, Leland Town Council members Brenda Bozeman and Jimmy Medlin, Leland Town Manager David Hewett, Brunswick County Commissioner Bill Sue, Board of Education member Scott Milligan and North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce vice president Jane Gilbert.
Leland native Frank Williams wrote the article. Williams, a 1988 graduate of North Brunswick High School, is president of Pioneer Strategies, a Raleigh-based Public Relations agency.
The Cape Fear Relocation Guide is a complete information resource for people interested in relocating to North Carolina's Cape Fear region. The guide covers the entire Cape Fear coast, including Wilmington, northern Brunswick County, the Brunswick County beaches, Southport, Hampstead, Topsail Island, Wrightsville Beach and surrounding areas.
