Kay Todd Road Temporary Closure
The dirt road that connects Kay Todd Road to the Brunswick Forest water tower will be closed through the week of June 7. Heavy rains have made the area not save for everyday travel.
The Town of Leland will then close Kay Todd Road to all traffic starting 7:00 am, Monday, June 14 for the installation of underground utilities. The road will remain closed until 5:00 pm, Friday, June 18. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road. Work was set to begin June 7, but due to rain and forecasted severe weather the start date has been pushed back.
Patrons of the House of Pickleball (HOP) will need to follow the detour through the roundabout at the water tower to Brunswick Forest Parkway for the first part of the closure and then patrons will be able to access the HOP from Highway 17 for the second half of the closure.
