Leland Encourages Use of SeeClickFix App to Report Hurricane Damage and Non-Emergency Issues
Leland, NC – The Town of Leland is encouraging citizens to download and use the Town’s SeeClickFix mobile app to report damage to public infrastucture and non-emergency issues such as downed trees caused by Hurricane Florence.
SeeClickFix is normally reserved for issues such as potholes and broken sidewalks, however we have added a “Hurricane Related Incidents” category so that residents can report non-emergency issues after Hurricane Florence passes. Please note that under no circumstance should emergency issues be reported via SeeClickFix as they will not receive an immediate response. For emergencies, call 911.
The Leland SeeClickFix mobile app is free and available for download on Android and iPhone. Once the app is installed, the user can open the SeeClickFix interface and follow simple steps to send photos, videos, descriptions and exact locations of non-emergency issues they encounter in the Town of Leland. If an email address is provided, the citizen will receive updates and a notification when the problem has been addressed. In addition to the mobile apps, citizens can send reports to the Town of Leland website: https://www.townofleland.com/departments/streets/report-problem.
Due to the likelihood of significant damage from Hurricane Florence, please be advised that issues reported will be collected and prioritized depending on the seriousness of the issue. We ask for your patience during this time as storm recovery will likely take weeks, if not months, and some issues may not be addressed immediately.
