The contractor is currently installing service lines for water and sewer across Brunswick Village Blvd Extension and will begin laying sanitary sewer lines to connect to Hewitt Burton Road. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of September 2021.
The contractor will be paving Kay Todd Road the week of July 12th where the open cuts were made to install the utilities across Kay Todd Road. Asphalt patching will include areas near fire hydrants and the driveway to the House of Pickleball. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents and patrons to the House of Pickleball will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
Due to the rain and severe weather forecasted for next week, the contractor has elected to move the road closure to the week of June 14-18, 2021. The Town of Leland will be installing underground utilities and will be closing Kay Todd Road to all traffic starting 7:00 am, Monday, June 14, 2021 and the road will remain closed until 5:00 pm, Friday, June 18, 2021. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road
Installation of sanitary sewer and water mains are currently underway. The contractor is currently laying sewer force main down Kay Todd Road.
The contractor will begin laying sanitary sewer and water main lines along Kay Todd Road. A second road closure of Kay Todd Road is anticipated for end of April/May as the contractor open cuts the road to run service lines to the House of Pickleball Facilities and to future lots.
Kay Todd Road is open to all traffic. The contractor finished installing underground utilities across Kay Todd Road and backfilled the site. There is still small cleanup needed and the contractor plans to pave early next week. Please use caution when in the area.
