Milestone timeline

Project includes the construction of a new sewer force main, gravity sewer, and water main along Brunswick Village Boulevard Extension and Kay Todd Roads. The project will help serve the developing areas within Brunswick Forest and along Kay Todd Road.

Project Updates
Town Staff will be working with the contractor and engineer to conduct a Final Inspection of the project and submit all certifications to the state.
The contractor has run into delays with replacing the sewer lines that cross under Kay Todd Road before the House of Pickelball (HOP). Kay Todd Road will remain closed to all traffic through 6:00 pm, Friday, October 22, 2021. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road. Detour map attached.
Due to unforeseen construction circumstances, the road closure to all traffic on Kay Todd Road is being extended through 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road.
The Town of Leland will be repairing the sewer line that crosses under Kay Todd Road before the House of Pickelball (HOP) and will be closing Kay Todd Road to all traffic starting 7:00 am, Monday, October 12, 2021 and the road will remain closed until 5:00 pm, Friday, October 15, 2021. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road.
The contractor has completed installation of water and sewer along Kay Todd Road and Brunswick Village Boulevard Extension and is finishing up the final sewer connections and repairs. Town Staff will be working with the contractor and engineer to conduct a Final Inspection of the project and submit all certifications to the state.
The contractor is currently installing service lines for water and sewer across Brunswick Village Blvd Extension and will begin laying sanitary sewer lines to connect to Hewitt Burton Road. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of September 2021.
