Milestone timeline

A project to construct a sewer lift station in Brunswick Forest to help serve the developing areas within Brunswick Forest and along the Highway 17 Corridor with sewer. The lift station will accept additional flow from other lift stations by forcemain. (Formerly know as the Hewett Burton Lift Station Project).

Project Updates
The contractor has completed the Lift Station 33 site. The Final Sewer Certification was submitted to the state and the lift station is fully operational. Next steps are for the contractor to finish punch list items and conduct a final walkthrough of the project.
Contractor has completed the Lift Station 33 site and is finishing punch list items. As-Builts are being updated for the Final Sewer Certification and the lift station will be fully operational this month. Next steps are for the Town and NCDOT to conduct a final walkthrough of the project.

Final Preparations are being made to the Lift Station 33 wet well. The epoxy liner is being installed to the wet well and manholes. Next steps are to conduct startup of the Lift Station and complete the Final Sewer Certification.
The force main has been installed under Highway 17 and tied in at both Ibis Landing and Hawthorne at Waterside. The new force main is to be pressured tested and ready to go for final certification. Stone has been put down and the fence is installed at the Lift Station site as crews prepare the wet well for its final coating.
Contractor to start the construction to extend the force main under Highway 17 from Hawthorne at Waterside to Ibis Landing. Contractor is also finishing up installing electrical to the lift station.
