Town of Leland Roadway Resurfacing 2024-2025

The Town of Leland is proposing to resurface several streets within the Town limits.  The following streets being considered for resurfacing include Carolina Avenue, sections of Grandiflora Drive, Wyland Court, Pine Harvest Drive in Magnolia Greens, Parkmore Court, sections of Westport Drive, and Sunburst Way. The scope of the project includes milling, full depth patches as needed, asphalt overlay, new striping throughout, and new street signs.

Survey
Monday, April 15, 2024

Survey crews from ESP Associates will be out on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 to conduct mobile LiDAR survey and 2D mapping services that will be used to provide survey data for the Engineer.  Imaging will take one-day in the field and then a few days to process and deliver the data.

The Town has brought onboard CLD Engineering, PLLC to survey, design and bid the Roadway Resurfacing project. Survey is expected to begin in April and will take several weeks to complete.

The 2023 Street Pavement Condition and Pavement Marking Condition Assessment has been completed. Town Staff will use the Assessment to prioritize streets for the next round of roadway resurfacing expected for 2024-2025 local government fiscal year.

The Town of Leland is currently working on the 2023 Street Pavement Condition and Pavement Marking Condition Assessment where the Town will assess the condition of pavement, examine striping, and note deficiencies in the roadway.  Town Staff will use the Assessment to prioritize streets for the next resurfacing project expected for 2024-2025 local government fiscal year.  The Town will identify those streets within the Town limits that will be repaved. The scope of the project includes milling, full depth patches as needed, asphalt overlay, new striping throughout, and new street signs.
