The Town Clerk's primary function is as keeper of official records. The Town Clerk attends and records Town Council and official committee actions, acts as custodian of all legal documents pertaining to the Town, prepares and publishes Town ordinances, resolutions and notices of public hearings, as required by law.  The Town Clerk also schedules persons to appear before Town Council and committees, applies codes, administers oaths of office, tracks and coordinates Town Council appointments to advisory boards, receives and processes applications for the Civil Service Commission and provides staff assistance to the board.
