The Town of Leland invites residents to share their feedback on existing parks and recreational amenities, as well as future park needs, by participating in the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Master Plan community survey, open through September 14.
The updated PROS Master Plan is expected to be completed spring 2027 and will build upon the Town's previous planning efforts while supporting broader community goals, including preserving open space, expanding recreational opportunities, improving trail connectivity, and enhancing the quality of life for current and future residents.
In addition to the survey, the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department will host community workshops and stakeholder meetings this fall and winter to gather additional input.
Once adopted, the plan will establish long-term goals and priorities, providing the Town with a strategic framework to guide future investments and implementation as funding becomes available through future budgets.
All residents who live within Town limits are encouraged to complete the survey. Responses are anonymous.
