Turns out the Founders Park Grand Opening was just the opening act!🎤 We're excited to announce the initial lineup for Live in Leland — a new series of free concerts, performances, and community events coming to the Founders Park amphitheater. Over the next several weeks, you'll find live music, theater performances, local food trucks, yard games, and plenty of reasons to spend an evening at the park. Take a look at the schedule and start making your plans. We'll see y'all at the park! 💙

Leland, thank you for making the Founders Park Grand Opening everything we hoped it would be. 💙 So many of you joined us to celebrate…and what an incredible, unforgettable evening it was. The playground was busy, the splash pad was full, people were dancing, and neighbors were catching up all across the park. It was wonderful to see. Leland, we could use a hand...ok, maybe just a few more than that. 🙌 Lend a Hand returns Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing neighbors together for a morning of volunteering throughout the community. Choose the project that speaks to you, whether that means planting trees, picking up litter, helping with food distribution, paddling out for a stream cleanup, collecting donations, or taking part in a walk audit along Village Road. We’ll meet at Founders Park at 8 a.m. for check-in and light refreshments before volunteers head to their project locations at 9 a.m. The event wraps up at noon. If you'll be spending time outside, take it easy and be sure to take extra precautions. A few reminders: • Drink plenty of water. • Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning. • Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing. • Save strenuous outdoor activities for the early morning or evening when possible. • Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. • Check on neighbors, friends, and family members who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
