Lend a Hand Leland is coming up Saturday, Oct. 3, and there’s still time to sign up for a volunteer project that fits you! Grab a friend or two and spend the morning giving back alongside your neighbors. - Check-in begins at Founders Park at 8 a.m. - Volunteer projects begin at 9 a.m. - We’ll wrap up at noon. Registration is required (use the link below), so save your spot and lend a hand with us!

🌲 Another step forward for Loblolly Park! The Town has received the first round of concept designs for the future park and is now reviewing those plans and providing feedback as the overall design continues to be refined. Proposed amenities include an 18-hole disc golf course, multi-use trail network, and possible playground, active facilities, picnic areas, more. A comprehensive master plan is also being developed, with opportunities for residents to provide feedback along the way. Final design work is anticipated to be completed by the second quarter of 2027, with construction to follow as funding becomes available. There’s still a ways to go, but we’re excited to see what comes next for Loblolly Park! Follow the latest project updates, using the 🔗 below.

Well, Leland, it looks like this British invasion is a no-go. 🇬🇧🌧️ Due to the potential for inclement weather Thursday, this week's Live in Leland concert featuring The British Invaders has been canceled. We know many of you were looking forward to the show, and we're disappointed we won't get to spend the evening with you at Founders Park. But there's still one more Live in Leland concert on the calendar! 🎶 Join us Thursday, Sept. 3, as Dear MariBella and the Pig Kickers take the Founders Park amphitheater stage at 6 p.m. Admission is free, so make plans to join us! We'll keep calm, carry on, and see y'all next week. 💙

🌊 Swiftwater Assessments 🏊‍♂️ Moving water is powerful and unpredictable, and the firefighters on our Swiftwater Team have to be ready for it. This week, Leland Fire Department is putting those skills to the test through three days of swiftwater assessments. Our firefighters are demonstrating their swimming ability and comfort in challenging water conditions, along with rope skills that can be just as important during a rescue. With swiftwater teams often deploying in smaller groups, everyone needs to know how to rig, tie knots, and build rope systems with little direction. These assessments are required to serve on the team and help make sure our firefighters are ready when they’re needed. Mind the gap, Leland. 🇬🇧🎶 The British Invaders are making their way across the pond and headed straight for the Founders Park amphitheater on Thursday, Aug. 27, for our next Live in Leland concert! Get ready for an evening of hits from some of the biggest names in British music, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, and more. The show starts at 6 p.m., admission is FREE, and we'll have food trucks, yard games, the splash pad, playground, and a beer garden featuring Leland Brewing Company and Brunswick Beer and Cider for guests 21 and older. A little splash pad know-before-you-go never hurts. We’ve loved seeing how popular the Founders Park splash pad has been this summer, and with all that splashing have come a few questions about how it works and what is (and isn’t) allowed. Can you bring a chair into the splash pad area? What happens when there’s thunder or lightning? Is the water safe to drink? We’re moving this week’s Live in Leland performance indoors to the Leland Cultural Arts Center (1212 Magnolia Village Way), so you can enjoy the show without worrying about what the weather decides to do.
