In most cases, the law requires notice to be published in a newspaper of general circulation. Typically, notices are placed under the "Legal Notices" heading in the StarNews. We also make these notices available to the public on this page. Please visit the Town’s calendar to view additional events or information for a particular meeting if applicable.
The public is encouraged to attend and participate in public hearings. Citizens can sign up for or against the hearing matter. Written comments may be received up to 24 hours prior to the public hearing date. View the Town's public comment procedure.

Notice is hereby given that the Leland Town Council will consider an exchange of property on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter at Leland Town Hall, located at 102 Town Hall Dr, Leland, NC to consider an exchange of property described as follows:
The Town of Leland is the owner of Parcel ID: 030PA00803 consisting of 1.020-acres located off Village Road in the Town of Leland. This property has an appraised value of $177,000.00.
GR-508 Enterprise, LLC is the owner of Parcel ID: 030PA008 and 030PA00801 located off Village Road in the Town of Leland. A portion of these properties will consist of 1.020-acres with an appraised value of $177,000.00.
This public notice is pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160A-271 and it is the intent of Council to consider a resolution authorizing the exchange of property in the properties described above.
