All December long, the Town of Leland is bursting with holiday cheer! Details coming soon on the merry lineup of festive events for all ages.

Celebrate the season at the Holiday Art Market on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center.

  • Shop local: Explore a variety of holiday gifts and creations from talented local vendors (vendor list coming soon).
  • Live music: Enjoy live music by Paul Barret as you browse.
  • Seasonal treats: Sip and snack with offerings from Port City Java and Mimi & Papa's Gourmet Popcorn.

After a day of shopping and holiday fun, make your way to Leland Town Hall at 6 p.m. for the Grand Illumination—the official kickoff to Leland in Lights!

Join us on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center for a magical evening with Santa. Children will enjoy milk and cookies, festive holiday crafts, and a special reading of The Night Before Christmas by Santa himself.

  • Attendance: Please limit adults/guardians to two (2) per family group.
  • Registration: Each child must be registered to attend.
  • Cost: $5 per child.

Hop on the Leland Express for a magical holiday train ride through the Leland in Lights display.

 Train Ride Details:

  • Cost: Free
  • Time: 6 to 8 p.m. (last boarding at 8 p.m. sharp!)
  • Location: Founders Park, 113 Town Hall Drive
  • Seasonal Treats: Food and drinks available from local vendors

Join us on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Leland Cultural Arts Center (1212 Magnolia Village Way) for a special sensory-friendly visit with Santa. This calm, inclusive environment is designed for families with individuals with specific needs to enjoy a relaxed and joyful holiday experience. Visit times are staggered from 12–3 p.m. in 30-minute sessions to ensure comfort for all participants.

Attendance: Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian(s).

Registration: Registration is for one family group. Multiple families (up to 5) may register for each 30-minute time frame.

Cost: Free
