Recycling service Recyclops offers fee-based curbside subscription recycling. The service, which uses a tech-driven smart-routing app and local drivers, allows residents to subscribe to have recyclable materials picked up from their homes every week. To sign up, visit the Recyclops website.
Residential Recycling Self-Service Drop-Off Site
Recyclable materials can be disposed of with no cost by taking advantage of the Town's Residential Recycling Self-Service Drop-off Site at 114 Perry Avenue, adjacent to Founders Park.
The Town of Leland Residential Vegetative Debris Drop-Off Site is located at the Town's Municipal Operations Center, 1926 Popular Street NE. The facility is open on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., except holidays.
To use the site, residents much purchase vouchers in advance. Five vouchers are available for $60 or 10 vouchers are available for $100.
Residents can also visit the following locations for vegetative debris drop-off:
- Brunswick County Convenience Site (accepts vegetative and some non-vegetative debris): 9921 Chappell Loop Road in Leland; (910) 371-9471
- Brunswick County Landfill (accepts vegetative and some non-vegetative debris): 172 Landfill Road NE in Bolivia; (910) 253-8101
