Trash & Recycling

Trash service is provided by Brunswick County, which contracts with GFL Environmental for county-wide collection. Trash is picked up every Friday in Leland.

GFL Environmental

Fee-based curbside recycling is provided in Leland by GFL Environmental. For questions or information on how to sign up for curbside recycling, please contact GFL at (910) 253-4177 or visit the GFL website.

Residential Recycling Self-Service Drop-Off Site

The Town of Leland Vegetative Debris Drop-Off Center will cease operation July 1, 2023. Vouchers for debris drop-off are no longer available for purchase.

Residents with unused vouchers may bring their debris to the Municipal Operations Center, located at 1970 Popular Street, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through the remainder of the calendar year. Please direct any inquiries regarding unused vouchers to Laurie White, (910) 408-3092 or lwhite@townofleland.com.

Brunswick County recycling programs accept a variety of items, including roof shingles, cooking oil, electronics, and more.

Brunswick County hosts a free dump week each April and September. For more information about these programs and events, visit the Brunswick County website.
