The Leland Town Council is introducing a new community engagement initiative, Let’s Talk Leland, a Town hall-style forum series designed to create open, informal conversations between residents and Town leadership.
The first event will take place Wednesday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way.
Mayor Brenda Bozeman and Councilmember Leland Hyer will be in attendance to connect directly with residents, answer questions, and hear feedback in a relaxed, conversational setting.
“Let’s Talk Leland is about creating space for meaningful dialogue,” said Mayor Bozeman. “We want residents to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and engaging with us in a way that feels approachable and transparent.”
The event will begin with a 30-minute informal social from 6 to 6:30 p.m., giving attendees an opportunity to meet and interact with Town leadership. A facilitated question-and-answer session will follow from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to submit questions at check-in or throughout the event. Contact information may also be provided for follow-up, as Town staff will share responses to any unanswered questions after the forum.
The Let’s Talk Leland series reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and community engagement. Future forums will be scheduled throughout the year with the remaining Councilmembers in attendance.
