The Leland Town Council is excited to host its second Let’s Talk Leland, a Town hall-style forum series designed to create open, informal conversations between residents and Town leadership.
The forum will take place Wednesday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fire Station 51, located at 1984 Popular Street.
Mayor Brenda Bozeman and Councilmember Veronica Carter will be in attendance to speak directly with residents, answer questions, and hear feedback in a relaxed, conversational setting.
“We were thrilled with the response to our first Let's Talk Leland event and the meaningful conversations it created with our residents,” said Mayor Brenda Bozeman. “I'm excited to continue that momentum and welcome the community back for our second event as we work together to shape Leland's future."
The event will begin with a 30-minute informal social from 6 to 6:30 p.m., giving attendees an opportunity to meet and interact with Mayor Bozeman and Councilmember Carter. A facilitated question-and-answer session will follow from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to submit questions at check-in or throughout the event. Contact information may also be provided for follow-up, as Town staff will share responses to any unanswered questions via email after the forum.
The Let’s Talk Leland series reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and community engagement. Forums will continue to be scheduled with the rest of the council members throughout the year.
