The Town of Leland is proud to announce it has received a $1,000 New Initiative Grant from the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association (NCRPA) to enhance the first ever Leland Fall Festival.
NCRPA’s New Initiative Grant program supports creative and impactful projects across North Carolina communities. By providing funding, the grant helps promote access to outdoor spaces, encourages health and wellness through engaging activities, and supports local conservation efforts.
The Leland Fall Festival was a great success, building on the Town’s popular Trunk or Treat tradition. This year, community organizations hosted decorated booths for trick-or-treating in place of traditional trunks.
New features, funded in part through NCRPA, included games, face painting, a pumpkin patch with hundreds of pumpkins, and a live DJ.
