The Town of Leland is excited to announce the opening of the new splash pad at Founders Park on May 1, giving the community a free, family-friendly way to cool off just in time for summer.
The splash pad will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., May through September. The new amenity adds to the list of new features at the recently renovated Founders Park, designed to bring the community together and provide more opportunities for outdoor recreation.
The splash pad is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. To activate the water features, visitors can press the button on the blue pole near the entrance. Each cycle runs approximately four minutes.
There is no lifeguard on duty, and adult supervision is required at all times. Restrooms are available at Founders Park; however, there are no designated changing areas.
Visitors are encouraged to review the full list of rules and regulations on the Town’s website before visiting.
