The Town of Leland has announced additional dates for its Live in Leland series, offering free live music and family-friendly entertainment at the new amphitheater in Founders Park, located at 113 Town Hall Drive.
The newly announced lineup includes two additional live performances and two movies:
- Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.: Michael Schott at Battle of the Bowls
- Sept. 19 at 7:40 p.m.: Dirty Dancing
- Dance lessons with Tracie Rabalais will begin at 7 p.m.
- Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.: The British Invaders
- Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.: Muppets in Space
- Following the movie, the Cape Fear Astronomical Society will host a stargazing event.
Since its launch, Live in Leland has brought thousands of neighbors and visitors from across the region together for live concerts, local food trucks, a beer garden, and yard games. The series provides free opportunities for the community to gather and enjoy entertainment at Founders Park.
Road closures, parking information, and any cancellations due to inclement weather will be announced in advance on the Town website and social media channels as each event approaches. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or picnic blankets, sunscreen, a cooler, and water.
