The community is invited to celebrate the season at the Town of Leland’s Fall Festival on Oct. 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Founders Park, located at 113 Town Hall Drive. This free, family-friendly event will feature trick-or-treating at community booths, live entertainment, a pumpkin patch, face painting, yard games, and food trucks.
Entertainment begins at 3 p.m. with the Wilmington Latin Dance Club leading a Day of the Dead-inspired Latin dance. Attendees are encouraged to join in and follow along on the dance floor.
The trick-or-treat trail will feature community booths, where participating organizations will hand out treats. Organizations include North Brunswick High School Key Club, Leland Area Garden Club, Cricket Wireless, Trillium Health Resources, Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, Ryan Homes, Smart Start of Brunswick County, Animal House, Humana MarketPoint, Foundations Early Learning Center, Beckington Townhomes, Brunswick County Library Bookmobile, DMH Southern Solutions, Crosswinds Church, Building Buddies, and Lifepoint Church. Participating food trucks include Revival Roadside, Mimi & Papa's Gourmet Popcorn and Sweet Shop, Tropical Whip, and KT's BBQ.
At the pavilion, a face painter will help bring spooky visions to life, and guests can select a pumpkin to paint. Yard games and a potato sack race will also be available throughout the event.
Parking will be available on-site and at First Baptist Church, located at 517 Village Road NE. Pets, alcohol, tobacco, vape, or other e-cigarette products are prohibited at this event.
