Town of Leland Streets Resurfacing 2021-2022

To resurface nine streets within the Town limits to include Olde Waterford Way, a portion of Woodwind Drive, Palm Ridge Drive, Old Village Circle, Royal Palm Way, a portion of Pine Harvest Drive, Bentgreen Drive, West Gate Drive, the intersection at New Pointe Boulevard, and the commercial section of Grandiflora Drive. The scope of the project includes milling, full depth patches as needed, and asphalt overlay of those nine streets.

Project Updates

Geotechnical Inspection Phase 2

The geotechnical inspection of the existing pavement condition is complete. ECS will move into Phase 2 that will consist of crews coring 12 areas throughout the project. Next steps are for the engineer to review and provide a recommendation of any areas that will require a full depth rebuild of the road.

ECS will have crews out starting next week to perform the geotechnical inspection of the eight streets. Their work will be sent to the engineer for review and recommendation of any areas that will require a full depth rebuild of the road.

Survey and LiDAR Mapping is currently underway on the eight streets. The surveyor collected survey and mapping data and will be completing 2D survey drawings by mid-October.

The Town has brought on board CLD Engineering, LCC to design and bid the Town of Leland Streets Resurfacing 2021-2022 project. Design will take several months to complete.
