Trash

Trash service is provided by Brunswick County, which contracts with GFL Environmental, Inc. for county-wide collection. Trash is picked up every Friday in Leland.

Recycling

The Town of Leland's current contract with GFL for curbside recycling is set to expire June 30, 2021. After this date, residents will have options for ways to continue recycling, including twice-monthly curbside recycling provided by GFL as a fee-based service or the Brunswick County free recycling drop-off locations currently available in and around Leland.

Residents who would like to continue curbside recycling after June 30 can sign up for annual service directly through GFL at www.gflenv.com/leland-sign-up. After signing up, GFL will provide twice-monthly fee-based recycling pick-up beginning Friday, July 2.

The deadline to register for continuation of curbside recycling service was April 23. Beginning with the first Friday in June, GFL will begin removing recycling bins for residents who choose to not continue the curbside service. For questions, please contact GFL at (910) 253-4177.
