Trash & Recycling Collection
Trash service is provided by Brunswick County, which contracts with GFL Environmental, Inc. for county-wide collection. Trash is picked up every Friday in Leland.
Fee-based curbside recycling is provided in Leland by GFL Environmental and other private vendors. For information on how to sign up for curbside recycling or for questions, please contact GFL at (910) 253-4177 or visit https://gflenv.com/leland-sign-up/.
Recyclable materials can also be disposed of with no cost by taking advantage of the Town's Residential Recycling Self-Service Drop-off site at 114 Perry Avenue adjacent to Founders Park. Please refer to the Residential Recycling Center FAQs and Town of Leland Recycling Guide (links below) for more information.
The Town of Leland Residential Vegetative Debris Drop-Off Center is now open at the Town's Municipal Operations Center, at 1987 Andrew Jackson Hwy NE. Residents can also visit the following locations for vegetative debris drop-off:

- Brunswick County Landfill - (accepts vegetative and some non-vegetative debris) -172 Landfill Road NE in Bolivia (910) 253-8101
