The Town of Leland is excited to host Spring Fling, formerly Eggspedition, on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the newly renovated Founders Park, located at 113 Town Hall Drive. The free, family-friendly event will continue the tradition of classic egg hunts while expanding the fun with face painting, games, community organization activities, and food trucks.
Egg hunts will begin at 10 a.m. and occur every 45 minutes until 12:15 p.m. Age groups include 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-13. This year, a separate egg hunt will be held for ages 14-18 at 12:30 p.m. Participants are asked to take part in only one egg hunt during the event.
Throughout Spring Fling, community organizations will be on site offering a variety of activities, including touch-a-truck, the Brunswick County Library Bookmobile, rock painting, and yard games. Participating organizations include the Leland Police Department, Leland Fire/Rescue, Carolina Complete Health, Brunswick County Library, AmeriHealth Caritas, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Horton & Mendez Injury Attorneys, Green Paw Plants & Pet Care, Hesed Counseling, Ryan Homes Wilmington, and Behavioral Consulting for Autism.
Food trucks scheduled to attend include Heavenly Floss, Chocolate and S’more, and The Green Bean.
