A project to improve Baldwin Drive from Navassa Road to Lee Drive. The scope of the project includes widening and paving of Baldwin Drive, installing sidewalks, stormwater, and drainage improvements.

Geotechnical crews from ECS Southeast will be out on Baldwin Drive starting Thursday, March 16, 2023 with coring and testing. Work will take a half day and crews will be testing along the edge of pavement to minimize any traffic hazards. Please use caution while driving in the area.
ECS will have crews out starting the week of March 20, 2023 to perform the geotechnical inspection along Baldwin Drive. Their work will be sent to the engineer for review and recommendation of any areas that will require additional design or consideration.
Preliminary Design Plans for the improvements along Baldwin Drive are expected to be completed early 2023. Town Staff will review all plans and work closely with the Engineer as we move forward in the design phase for the project.
A speed indicator sign has been placed along Baldwin Drive. Town Staff will be monitoring traffic to gather traffic counts and speeds as part of the overall improvements of Baldwin Drive.
Design on the Baldwin Drive Improvements project has begun. The Engineer will be putting together Preliminary Plans for the project for Town Staff review.
The Town of Leland will be hosting a Public Open House for the Baldwin Drive Improvements project on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. Residents will have a chance to review the planned improvements, ask questions, and get an overview of the upcoming project.
Survey of the project is complete. The engineer is developing the concept plan for Town review.
Survey crews will be out along Baldwin Drive starting Monday, May 2, 2022. Their work will take several weeks to complete. Please use caution when survey crews are working in the area.
The Town has brought onboard Withers Ravenel to survey, design and bid the Baldwin Drive Improvements project. Survey is expected to begin on May 2, 2022, and will take several weeks to complete. Please use caution when survey crews are out.
