A project to improve the intersection at Ocean Gate Plaza and New Pointe Boulevard. The scope of the project includes installation of a single-lane teardrop roundabout, stormwater improvements, new sidewalks, pedestrian crosswalks, pavement markings, and street signs. The project will improve the busy commercial intersection, improve safety for motorists and pedestrians alike, and improve pedestrian connectivity and the flow of traffic.

The contractor is installing the final surface layer of asphalt. Next steps are to install the signage for the roundabout, pavement markings, general clean up, and landscaping.

The contractor will be installing the intermediate layer of asphalt tomorrow, April 14, 2026.
H2GO will be shutting down a section of water mainline at the intersection of Ocean Gate Plaza and New Point Boulevard for the contractor to relocate utilities for the Town’s Ocean Gate Plaza Roundabout project. The shutdown will start at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and will be turned back on at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Construction crews have begun work on the full rebuild of the roadway. Next steps are to compact and install ABC Stone.
