Northgate Drive Realignment Project

The project intent is for the construction of a new roadway to realign Northgate Drive, create a signalized intersection, and add and extend turn lanes on Village Road. Additional work includes the pavement of roads, utility additions, stormwater detention, a new traffic signal, and the acquisition of property for right-of-way and easements.

Contractor to Begin Punch List Rework Items in December

A closeout meeting was held on Nov. 21 to discuss completion of the project punch list. The contractor will begin the punch list rework items in December.

New Traffic Signal Fully Activated

The new traffic signal has been fully activated. A field review with NCDOT will take place on Oct. 15. Mast arm street signage is incorrect (listed as Baldwin Dr. when it should be Lee Dr.). Correct signage has been ordered and awaiting date for install.

Final Paving Complete

All work will be completed and open to travel by Nov. 1.
