Construction on Streets Resurfacing Project Begins

Construction on the Town’s Streets Resurfacing Project is underway.

The contractor started on Sept. 13 on Bentgreen Drive in Magnolia Greens and will then turn to Pine Harvest Drive in Waterford. The first part of the work will consist of milling and full depth patches.

Resurfacing of the roads and installing new striping is expected to take several weeks. Residents should expect delays and use caution when driving in the area.

This is the first step in the project to resurface nine streets within Town limits, which include Olde Waterford Way, a portion of Woodwind Drive, Palm Ridge Drive, Old Village Circle, Royal Palm Way, a portion of Pine Harvest Drive, Bentgreen Drive, West Gate Drive, the intersection at New Pointe Boulevard, and the commercial section of Grandiflora Drive. The scope of the project includes milling, full depth patches as needed, and asphalt overlay of those nine streets.

The full project is expected to take several months and wrap up in early 2023. The timeline is weather dependent.
