Old Fayetteville Road Multi-Use Path (STP-DA U-5534D)
A project to develop a roadside multi-use path along the north side of Old Fayetteville Road from Town Hall Drive to North Brunswick High School. Project also includes the repaving of Old Fayetteville Road. Work will require brief lane closures with flagging for duration.

The Town of Leland will have an extended lane closure on Old Fayetteville Road Monday, April 19, 2021 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm for the contractor to pave the shoulder of the road. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
The Town of Leland will have an extended lane closure on Old Fayetteville Road tomorrow, March 17, 2021 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for the contractor to connect to H2GO’s waterline. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during the utility work.
The contractor is continuing to lay storm drainpipe and next steps are to install concrete for the curb and gutter along Old Fayetteville Road.
The contractor will be widening Old Fayetteville Road and plans to lay asphalt starting on Monday. Work will consist of grading, paving, and installing curb and gutter along Old Fayetteville Road.
Construction on Old Fayetteville Road is scheduled to begin the week of October 26, 2020. The contractor will be bringing in equipment and starting survey work. Construction is expected to take nine months to complete improvements.
Town Council approved the bid and selection of C.M. Mitchell Construction Company as the construction contractor on the project.
