Old Fayetteville Road Multi-Use Path (STP-DA U-5534D)
A project to develop a roadside multi-use path along the north side of Old Fayetteville Road from Town Hall Drive to North Brunswick High School. Project also includes the repaving of Old Fayetteville Road. Work will require brief lane closures with flagging for duration.

The Town’s Construction Engineer has completed the initial walk through of the project. The next steps are for the contractor to complete punch list items and clean up the project site. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for October 18, 2021 at noon.
Striping on Old Fayetteville Road is complete. The contractor will be putting final touches on the project to include installing new street signs and ADA mats, putting down seed and straw, and cleaning up the project site.
Thermoplastic striping will be installed on Old Fayetteville Road this Wednesday and Thursday, August 11-12, 2021. During this time, please expect delays. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration and will move down the road while the paint truck is rolling through.
Paving on Old Fayetteville Road and for the Multi-Use Path is now complete. The next steps are for the contractor to install thermoplastic striping, back fill the shoulders, install concrete curb ramps and new mailboxes in the weeks to come. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration.
Paving operations along Old Fayetteville Road will continue today, Friday, July 23 through July 30. During this time, the contractor will have an extended lane closure on Old Fayetteville Road from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm to pave the Multi-Use Path and put down the final asphalt for the road. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
