The projects are intended to construct a sidewalk along Old Fayetteville Road from Ricefield Branch to Leland Middle School, a multi-use path extension along Village Road from the Brunswick County Senior Center to Sturgeon Creek, and a sidewalk loop from Town Hall Drive down Village and Old Fayetteville Roads.

New Street Lights
Friday, June 4, 2021

The contractor continues to install concrete sidewalk along Village Road. New streetlights have been installed along Town Hall Drive and the contractor will be installing storm drainpipe along Old Fayetteville Road this month.

Wednesday, May 5, 2021

The contractor is continuing to lay concrete sidewalk in front of Leland Middle School and down Old Fayetteville Road as well as continuing to clear and grade along Village Road and Town Hall Drive for both the sidewalk and Multi-Use Path.

The contractor is installing new sidewalks in front of Leland Middle School.

Construction to Begin
Thursday, February 4, 2021

Construction on the three projects is scheduled to begin the week of February 8, 2021.  The contractor will be bringing in equipment and starting survey work.   Construction is expected to take six months to complete improvements.

Friday, December 18, 2020

Town Council approved the bid and selection of Simmons Public Utility Site Work, Inc. as the construction contractor on the project.
