The projects are intended to construct a sidewalk along Old Fayetteville Road from Ricefield Branch to Leland Middle School, a multi-use path extension along Village Road from the Brunswick County Senior Center to Sturgeon Creek, and a sidewalk loop from Town Hall Drive down Village and Old Fayetteville Roads.

Project Updates
The contractor expects to be out during May to complete the construction of the three projects. Work will consist of replacing the truncated domes (mats) along the multi-use path, removing the orange construction fencing, repairing seed where needed, and installing thermoplastic striping at all crosswalks. Please use caution when crews are working in the area.
Town Hall Drive will be closed Jan. 24 and 25 for the contractor to mill and place asphalt along Town Hall Drive. Please use Old Fayetteville Road to access both Town Hall and Founders Park. Work will be performed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days and will open to all traffic during the evening hours. Please use caution when driving in the area.
Due to the changing weather conditions, the contractor was unable to mill and place asphalt along Town Hall Drive this week. Town staff will work with the contractor and engineer on an updated construction schedule.
Town Hall Drive will be closed Jan. 19 and 20 for the contractor to mill and place asphalt along Town Hall Drive. Please use Old Fayetteville Road to access both Town Hall and Founders Park. Work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days and will open to all traffic during the evening hours. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The contractor will be applying paint to the three crosswalks across Town Hall Drive on Dec. 29. Work will require the road to be closed for 20-30 minutes at a time while crews install paint. If closed, please use alternate route off Old Fayetteville Road to access Town Hall and Founders Park.
The contractor will be forming up the sidewalk and curb ramp and pouring concrete at the entrance to Town Hall on Dec. 15. Work will only require a few hours to complete. If active construction is going on, please use the entrance off Old Fayetteville Road to enter and exit Town Hall.
The contractor working on Town Hall Drive will be closing the entrance to Town Hall on Dec. 13. Please use the entrance off Old Fayetteville Road to enter and exit Town Hall.
The contractor is currently working along Town Hall Drive to install sidewalk and pervious concrete for on-street parking. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Please use caution when driving on Town Hall Drive. Residents will still be able to access Founders Park and Town Hall.
Due to unforeseen construction circumstances, Town Hall Drive will be closed to all traffic on Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting, as crews widen the road and install pervious concrete along Town Hall Drive. Town staff and residents will have to use Old Fayetteville Road to access Town Hall. Patrons to Founders Parks will need to use Perry Avenue and patrons to the Brunswick Center will need to use the Leland Library entrance off Village Road.
The Town of Leland will be widening and installing pervious concrete along Town Hall Drive and will be closing Town Hall Drive to all traffic from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28. The road will remain closed during this time and will reopen every evening. Town staff and residents will have to use Old Fayetteville Road to access Town Hall. Patrons to Founders Parks will need to use Perry Avenue and patrons to the Brunswick Center will need to use the Leland Library entrance off Village Road.
