The project is to install an 8- to 10-foot multi-use path (MUP) that ends at Woodland Drive and extends to Wayne Street. NCDOT is expected to construct a new bridge at Sturgeon Creek during Summer 2025 that will include two 12-foot lanes, 4-foot shoulders, and an 8- to 10-foot MUP on the south side of the roadway. This project will connect to the existing MUP and provide multimodal transportation access from the Gateway District to Cypress Cove Park.
